SAF represented at recent Family Readiness meeting
Cpt. (retired) Robert Burgess and Heidi Cox attended the Family Readiness training for the 2113 Transportation Unit of the Army National Guard. The 2113 Transportation Unit has been called up and is set to deploy. The Nov. 1 event was held at the National Guard Armory in Paducah and family members were given information on a variety of topics. Red Cross brochures "Get to Know Us Before You Need Us" and information magnets were given out at that time.
There were 11 SAF calls for the month of October at the chapter. We are currently looking for active duty addresses for soldiers from this area, or families from this area who have military service personnel overseas. These addresses will be used to send holiday greetings that were made by local school children. Please call the chapter with names and their military address.

The Paducah Area Chapter of the American Red Cross provides emergency communications and assistance to military families. Through the “Get To Know Us Before You Need Us” program, families are made aware of how the Red Cross can help them in times of family emergencies.
Whether it is staying in touch with a loved one in the service, getting verification of emergency leave or securing emergency financial assistance, our Services to the Armed Forces (SAF) volunteers can help.

Name of the service personnel
Service Branch and Rank
Social Security number and Date of Birth
Military Address and phone number if available
Phone number where you can be reached.
