The Paducah Area Chapter of the American Red Cross provides emergency communications and assistance to military families. Through the “Get To Know Us Before You Need Us” program, families are made aware of how the Red Cross can help them in times of family emergencies.

Whether it is staying in touch with a loved one in the service, getting verification of emergency leave or securing emergency financial assistance, our Services to the Armed Forces (SAF) volunteers can help.

Cpt. (Ret.) Robert Burgess is the local SAF coordinator. He may be reached by calling the chapter office at 442-3575. When requesting help on behalf of someone in the military, please have the following information available if possible:

Name of the service personnel
Service Branch and Rank
Social Security number and Date of Birth
Military Address and phone number if available
Phone number where you can be reached.
